North Park Elementary PTA Committee Meeting Minutes
Monday February 10,, 2020 @ 3:30pm
North Park Elementary Community Room

Members Present: Elizabeth Edmunds, Patricia Fedderson, Trina Favero, Heidi James, Mrs.
Okey

Inspirational Thought: The minutes of the January’s PTA Meeting were not reviewed nor were they approved.

Treasurer's Report: Given by Elizabeth Edmunds
● $24,943.75 in the account.

Calendar of Events:
● PTC Dinner- Went great, Teachers loved it, had lots of extra food. Hug Hess is a great
choice.
● Book Fair- Set up on March 20th. Fair will run from March 23rd - March 27th. Needs to
be cleaned out as much as possible by Friday the 27th, as requested by the custodian.
Brooke will send out a sign up as the book fair draws closer.
● Field Day- May 20th from 9am-12 noon. Budget $2,000. Heidi is over. Will run a lot the
same as last year's field day. Will have two 18” slides as opposed to the one 18” and
one 15” that we usually get. Will get the Fire Truck, and see if we can use the splash
pad.
● Last Day of School- May 22nd, half day.
● Yearbook- Lifetouch will do yearbook again this year.
● 6th Grade Graduations- To Be Announced.
● STEM Night- March 23rd. Lots of opportunities to learn about new technology, STEM,
and robotics.
● Mrs. Okey: Started the Ascend One to One Piece, each student and teacher will have
their own ChromeBook. Ryan James will be the tech person, he will be at Stem Night to
teach more about the chrome books. Bark- Security and Safety for students online.
District and School will send out as much information as possible as it becomes
available.
