These are a list of requirements for your child to participate or be selected for a team.
- Students must be in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade to join the VEX robotics club.
- The students are required to attend all practices after school. If three or more are missed they will be dropped from the team.
- To avoid charging a Robotics Club fee. Students who are selected to be apart of our Robotics club are committed to get a local business to sponsor our Robotics Team or get a $50 donation (see attached flier for more details).
- The student is committed to attend all Saturday (8-3pm) Robotic competitions. These start as early as October and end in February. No more than four competitions in a school year. Dates to come.
- The student follows the school rules: respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. Students are committed to follow the code of conduct.
- VEX IQ Robotics is a TEAM competition, which means that all members participate equally and understand all four components to the competition: STEM research project, designing and building, programming, and driving. Students need to be interested in, and help their team with, all four components.
